"Our children arrived exactly as they were designed. There was no mistake here. They are a direct and unmistakable gift from God. He has given us children capable of copious amounts of unconditional love because we haven't been open to receiving the more indirect ways He's been showering it on us for the previous years of our lives." ~Courtney Heigele
How did you get the letters up on the wall like that? Were they stick-on letter decals? < Okay I'm kidding > Seriously though, this is the most sweetest post!! They are too cute together!!! Two cutie-patooties!!
TOO CUTE!!!! So happy to see Baby K on here. And that last picture of Lily is just the best. She has the most adorable expressions and sure knows how to pose for the camera. xoxo
Girls "Save the World". Girls invent things and make a difference. Are you going to raise your daughter with the notion that she will never invent, save, or achieve? That she can never be smart or serious or as capable as a man? Women are out there every day working alongside men to create a better world. I hope your daughter learns that. BTW, I fully expect you to not post this as it doesn't fit within your worldview. But, I hope you read it and it makes you think. Sincerely, A highly educated Wife and Mother who is saving the world inside the home and outside of it.
Smokey kitty.. I think you missed the intended humor of this post - I was poking fun at the idea that men do these things while women just pose for photo shoots :) blessings ! ~Patti
I am so thankful Baby K is givin it to her straight. Girls these days think they have so much freedom, power, and opportunity! If I ever have daughters I hope they don't get brainwashed into thinking they have any potential to become anything!
Too many quiverfull families do teach their girls that they are nothing more than accessories so there is nothing really funny about it. I have met far too many women in my life who were told that they were too stupid for math, science, or even independent thought. I get that you were trying to be funny, but it is a little too true to be truly humorous.
SK .. We're not quiverful, we just happen to like kids. And maybe you need to expand your connections a little more, the world is full of plenty of people who have a balanced approached to parenting and maintain their sense of humor ... And assume the best about people all at the same time. I'm sorry you haven't had a chance to meet them.
Rightfully confident women would not be offended by this. Their worth is given to them by God, and no individual, society, or philosophy can take that away from them. They feel no need to announce their accomplishments or education, as their words speak for themselves.
The irony is that you attacked my mother for allegedly giving in to a stereotype (girls are accessories), and then proceeded to stereotype her (all large families are quiverful, and all quiverful families demean their girls).
You also managed to accuse her of being someone who would not allow any comments that don't agree with her own. She appears to have proven you wrong.
Also, I have yet to meet a single woman who was ever told she was too stupid for anything. Maybe I should get out more.

Surely a "warm and fuzzy" photo shoot. Way to precious for words.
