random cuteness and a giveaway

It's one of those days where there are too many "to do's" on my list and not enough hours to do them in.

So no deep thoughts here, just some random cuteness to offer...

Sleeping Beauty

And how 'bout a little giveaway? Because it's been awhile since I told Lily's readers how much I love them.

If you've never tried Scentsy, you don't know what you're missing. Scentsy began with a simple idea - decorative ceramic warmers designed to melt scented wax with the heat of a light bulb instead of a traditional wick and flame. I have Scentsy warmers in every room in my house, and while I love every fragrance Scentsy offers, there is one I always come back to....Welcome Home.

Warm and welcoming with cinnamon and spices, Welcome Home is one of Scenty's best selling bars for a reason. It's one of my absolute favorites, and the name describes it perfectly- it smells like home.

One random commenter on this post will win a bar of Welcome Home...just leave a comment telling me what home means to you.

And while you're at it- pray for one for us :) We had our little dream home deal fall through yesterday, but I do believe one is out there with our name on it....

Happy Tuesday !!

Home is where the heart is :) Totally cheesy but so true. Having lived in many places, they all seem trivial when I think about being with family. That is really all that matters.

As the saying goes: Home is where the heart is. My heart is at home right now, where my sweet little boy is there with his grandma, just waiting for me to walk through the door to give him a hug.

I've been thinking about 'home' a lot lately as I'm about to relocate overseas for a minimum of a year. Not to mention I've spent the past 13 years living at least 1600 miles away from my family (though, I suppose that's not entirely true as my husband of the past 2 years should count as family). :)

Increasingly I've come to view the internet as a sort of home. Not in a sad, reclusive sort of way but because I'm able to have an active, daily relationship with my family through blogs, emails and facebook. Instead of only calling when we have huge news, I get to participate in the little things (like my mom being happy about some extra whipped cream at a Starbucks or some other silly thing).

Anyhow, I'll be praying that you find an actual physical home soon and I'll be praying that I can settle into the Netherlands without too much fuss.

As a military wife, home means being wherever my husband is!

Beautiful :)
Home, to me, is wherever my sweet Mother is. She means the world to me, and has given everything to help my siblings and I. (five of us six have various special needs) Many times, she literally saved our lives when my family was caught in a terrible situation. Now she has M.S. So every moment we have with her is so precious! I wouldn't be home unless I was with her.. No matter where that might be. :)

Home is where I can just BE. Where I can be with my family, where I can relax, where I have no need to impress anyone, where I can be myself. I have several "homes" including the one I share with my husband and two daughters, my childhood home where my parents still live, and my best friend's apartment snuggled on her couch.

Hi! I am a new blogger and follower of yours. LOVE your pics! home is where you are loved for who you are, feel safe at, and are surrounded by people who care for you. Home is where you can just 'be'. Good luck with finding your new "home."

You know...I have lived in many houses. I have had houses that were my home (because I made it that way) but they were still just houses. Nothing I had watched my kids grow up in..nothing with any real sentimental value....until now. We live now in the house that I grew up in. There isn't a nook or cranny, squeaky floor boards and all, I don't know. I know the neighbors. My grandparents live two houses down. There are trees, there are birds, and squirrels. There are peaceful nights on the porch with the stars spread out above you, listening to the crickets and tree frogs sing. Now I am getting to watch my babies grow up in this house and you know what? They'll drag me out of this house kicking and screaming this time. lol

I like to think I have several homes, two in the AZ valley, one in the mountains of AZ, one in OR, one in NJ, and my final home with the Lord. Wanted to reach in and pinch that cute tush. Is it really warm enough to swim this early in OR?

Haha. The cheeks pic cracked me up.

Since I'm a somewhat recent transplant to the mid west (2 years this month), I often still view Washington as home. However, I've come to define it now as wherever my wonderful hubby and pup are waiting me is exactly where home is! Sending lots of prayers your way...you're new home is going to be wonderful, I just know it!

I used to think "home" meant where I was born and raised...since getting married 6 months ago, I've realized that "home" is where my husband is, even if that's 2,000 miles away from my hometown!

I LOVE the picture of your sleeping beauty.

And in the words of one of my favorite hymns... "Anywhere is home, let come and go what may; Anywhere I roam, He keeps me all the way; So for His dear sake, my cross I'll meekly bear; Anywhere is home, if Christ my Lord, is there.

OK, since your home deal fell through (so sorry to hear that by the way!), hopefully my idea of home will help you feel better... home is wherever you and your family are. As long as you have your loved ones around you, you are home.

Praying for the perfect "structure" for you and your family to be home in. :)

So sorry to hear that the house fell through. I'm sure that was a little disappointing but yes, something great will come along.
P.S. Love the cute swim suit pics!

I have a small apartment, and even it is too small for the 3 of us, I still love every corner of it! The best thing I am waiting for - to hang many flower pots down the balcony! (a work due this weekend)

Honestly...I love our house but home is where ever the 5 of us are together. The kids even call hotels "home" when we are traveling. The only requirement is us :-)

HA! I love the sweet cheeks peeking out! Too funny! I recently posted V in her swim dipe and she had a wedgie. I thought it was funny too! Bad sense of humor? Maybe. I love the picture of Lily sleeping, your right too, a sleeping beauty! Oh, and I recently saw the cover of the Woodbine House book, with Lily on it! So exciting! I have anxiously been waiting to see if any of V's pictures made it in!

Also, I <3 scentsy!
