LOVE Scentsy! right now I can't get enough of Sentimental Cider! So yummy.

Congratulations, Joanna! Please contact me with your info so I can send your bar to you!

Today's prize is for one of my favorite bars from Scentsy...

Newborn Nursery Dreamy scent that evokes memories of cradling your little ones.

We use this scent in our Scentsy warmer at church, in the nursery. It reminds me of Johnson's baby powder, and it is such a delicate soothing scent.

To enter, please tell me what scent brings back memories for you. For instance- I can smell the pages of an old book, and I am instantly transported back to the library we always went to as children. I can picture myself standing in the aisles, opening the book I was interested in and smelling the pages- and choosing the book based on how nice it smelled. Does anybody know what I mean? If Scentsy could come up with an "old book" scent, I would by it by the brick.

So leave a comment telling me what scent brings back memories for you, and a winner will be drawn at midnight and announced tomorrow.

Happy Saturday!!

The smell of curry takes me back to the mission fields of Mozambique, where our cook, Auntie Judy (from India) would make us the most amazing chicken and curry rice for dinner over an open fire. After a long full day of loving on children, Auntie Judy's rice hit the spot.

Snickerdoodle cookies baking in the oven. That smell instantly transports me to my Grandma's kitchen when I was a little girl. I made them when we lived in Afghanistan and I remember sitting in my kitchen and crying and crying from the intense homesickness that smell invoked. Bittersweet feelings, but a wonderful smell and cookie.
Happy Birthday Miss Lily. Jakey and I think you are more beautiful then ever.

Bet I can guess where you acquired the habit of smelling book pages to help decide if you would check that particular book out!!!! Runs in the family.

Is Lily walking in those pictures?

When is Her party?

The smell of dreft. Every time I smell it, I can just picture my 3 kids as babies again. Snuggling close to them and inhaling the sweetness coming off of them. I LOVE holding a newborn baby! I wish they had that scent!

I cannot think of a scent that brings back memories. I must be insensitive to smells or something. I do love the smell of holiday soaps. I could use holiday soaps all year long.

I will never forget my first day of work as a pre-K teacher- preparing my classroom... I opened a jar of fingerpaint and omgosh it took me right back to preschool! I don't think I had smelled it since then, and I could completely visualize my entire preschool classroom.

There are several perfumes that remind me of different people. I do not know the name of them, but when I smell them, I think of that person. The smell of a newborn baby is my favorite, though.
