Right there with you!
That momentous day and days following people returned to church and prayers, and flew the American flag. Sorrowfully, it did not last long for many. Once more God is forgotten and few flags are flying. Rules are passed..."do not mention God in our schools, in public places, take it off our money, etc" You get the picture. I guess the only thing we Christians can do is keep praying, keep setting good examples and to reach out to those who are complacent, who turn their backs on God, and who welcome satan with open arms. Our homily today was on forgiveness, the readings were from Sirach 27:30-28:7. Forgive we must. But it is oh so hard! Forgive ourselves, forgive our loved ones, forgive our neighbors near and far. It is oh so hard, but we must. Pray for fogiveness from others and for others. As we left church we sang "let there be peace on earth". I cry everytime I hear that song whether on the radio or in church. It is a prayer we all need to sing to the Lord and try to practice.Love all of you and miss you so much, cannot wait to hold you in my arms, Mom/Grammi
We will never forget!
Even though I barely remember my thoughts that day since I was only 9 & had never been aware of what the World Trade Center was I will never forget.
Will never forget even way over here New Zealand
