Jack and Lily's Giveaway Wednesday

Welcome to Jack and Lily's Giveaway Wednesday!

Before we get started, I wanted to share a fantastic photo from my beautiful and creative friend Tekeal, all the way from Bern, Switzerland. I met Tekeal via email last December, when we were hosting our Home For Christmas Giveaway. My sweet friend from the other side of the globe shares my passion for orphans on Reece's Rainbow and is years ahead of me on this journey of parenting a child with special needs. She writes beautifully on her blog Livia the Great, and I am determined to meet up with her some day... I have a world wide tour planned when I retire and Switzerland is definitely one of my stops;)

Tekeal and her daughter were supposed to appear in my photo montage the other day, but poor Livia was sick with pneumonia, and they were entertaining house guests...her adorable photo came too late to my inbox, but I could not resist posting it here today- I LOVE IT!

"Go ahead and mock my style, but do not mock my daughter who sports something extra!!"

*Hugs to you friend, and to the beautiful Livia as well:)

On to Jack and Lily...

These two are a riot to watch lately. For some reason Jackson's crazy antics just send Lily into hysterics, even if it's just a game of peekaboo.

The other day he was just hitting an inflatable ball on his head and making a goofy expression, and Lily was in stitches. Melt.my.heart.
There's a definite bond between my two youngest, and I can't wait to see how that plays out as they grow older together.

My favoritest face- the crinkly eyed smile.

We finally got Lily signing "more" on video. Please ignore her just-woke-up bedhead look, as well as the groceries on the floor around her. I just got home from shopping and she was having a blast with all the empty bags...until she spied me munching on a cookie. Girlfriend knows how to get what she wants, as she quickly started yelling "MO MO MO" and pummeling her little fists together.

video

Needless to say, she got the cookie.

And now for our giveaway!

I found Stella Bella Boutique through another blog a few months ago. I bought my mom the sweetest pair of pink mum earrings for Mother's Day and immediately bookmarked the etsy shop for future shopping. I love just about everything there, especially these darling vintage inspired doily earrings.

One lucky commenter will receive these sweet earrings by leaving a comment here today. Random.org will pick a winner at midnight, and tomorrow I'll be back to let you know who it is!

Just to make things fun, share your favorite Christmas song. I KNOW it's July- but in our home that means Pandora is set to Bing Crosby Christmas until December. Well, maybe we might take a break now and then for Disney tunes or Dario Marianelli, but Bing will be belting out his stuff for many months to come:) So just tell me your fav' and don't forget to have a...

Happy Wednesday!

I like Mariah's Carey "All I want for Christmas - is YOU!" I often catch myself singing this song, no matter the season :)

Lovely earings!

"Grandma got run over by a reindeer" just cracks me up. I love all the traditional songs but must hear this a couple of times during the holidays to have a good laugh.

PLEASE do not tell me that you have your Bing set to christmas songs already?? Lily signing more is the best! And Jack. I can not sleep lately if you haven't noticed. My fave holiday song is my Pandora holiday stream. I am bad with song details.

Love the pics! Love the earrings :-) I have so many favorite Xmas songs. Not sure how to choose one! How about: it's The Holiday Season, Whoopty Whoo. I'm not sure that's the actual title, but it always makes me laugh and feel like it's Xmas!

We have been having Christmas in July too. From the kiddos just HAVING to watch Santa Clause move and the never ending stream of carols being sung by my 5 year old. Speaking of...my favorite is that 5yr old singing JINGLE BELLS over and over with her own wonderfully made up words. :)-erin

She is so cute....her hair is sooo long!!! Reagan's favorite Christmas song is "Santa Clause you are much too fat!" - ok it is a made up Christmas song, but my kids sing it faithfully every year!! I have too many to list just one!! Love you guys!! Happy Wednesday!

I LOVE the video of Lillers signing 'more'! And I agree with the other commenters asking for 'more' videos of her! The pictures of her and Jack are so sweet.
I love me some Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby at Christmas time (both December Christmas and July Christmas). Just something about those crooners in the cold weather!

Rachel said...

"Baby its cold outside" is one of my very favorites! On a side note, the house I lived at in college was right next door to Bing's childhood home!

Oh my goodness! I must agree with Nikki! Were always playing the TransSiberian Orchestra especially the christmas album. And since I NEVER remember names of songs I can't say which is my favorite. LOL. Jack and Lily are the cutest together! Happy Wedensday!

Great. Now I'm longing for Christmas and we still haven't gone on our summer vacation! My favorite Christmas song... hard to pick just one when there are so many I love, but if I had to pick one... Mary Did You Know would be it. :)

my family said...

oh holy night! so hard to pick one:)

"Mary did you know" is my all time favorite. LOVED the video of my smarty 'Miss Lily Anne'. Jack is one great 'best buddie', lucky Lils. Please tell Jack to give Lils a kiss and hug from Grammi and Papa.

PS love my earrings, keep receiving compliments and being asked if they are antiques. I love those doily ones.

I'm surrounded by people singing Christmas songs. From my husband to my coworkers. It wouldn't be so bad if they sang one of my favorites; such as "Mary Did You Know?" or "Christmas Shoes". Oh well! I'll get my fill on Thanksgiving, thats when I start my Christmas Pandora.

Love the pic of Lily smiling! I'm still jealous that my sisters got to meet the FAMOUS Lily and I haven't had the pleasure yet! :( Someday though!

I love Christmas but I'm enjoying my summer too much Patti! I think I'll wait on the music, but I love love these pictures! The earrings are super cute too!

Lily is too cute. Very cute earrings and shop. My favorite Christmas song is "Away in a Manger" although "Breath of Heaven" is right up there also.

What a sweet bond Jack and Lily have. Lily is just so adorable. :)

One of my favorite Christmas songs is "Silent Night"!

My favorite Christmas song is "O Holy Night".... I love to sing it and just hearing a professional version sends chills down my spine! That song seems like its the ultimate tribute to Jesus when he was born, and to who he would become in the future, Our SAVIOR!!!!

I have always always loved "Silent Night" ever since I was a little girl. I still get chills when I hear it. My second favorite and more contemporary song is Trisha Yearwood's "It wasn't His Child." Makes me cry every time I hear it!

Those doily earrings are SOOOOOO cute! And I'm not usually a "large" earring fan.

So my favorite Christmas song? Without a doubt, as a mom, my fav Christmas song is "Mary, Did You Know?". It always makes me remember that we have no clue what our children's future holds or what they'll do in their life, but we get to have the awesome privilege of being a part of history. And it makes me think about how much better our world would be if every child God created in some mother's womb somewhere was actually given the opportunity to fulfill God's plans for them to the fullest. It's a song I could enjoy year-round.

All time favorite Christmas song is "Carol of the Bells" -- it is just such a beautiful song. A close second would be "All I Want for Christmas" by the Chipmunks. :)

Sara said...

My FAVORITE Christmas song? You do realize that that is like asking me to eat just ONE piece of chocolate, right? It's impossible to pick just one song!

So....I'll pick my 3 favorites. ;-)
Carol of the Bells, O Holy Night, Silent Night.....ok, I lied--my 4 favorites. And The Little Drummer Boy.
Christmas is my absolute favorite holiday and that's my favorite time of year as well (winter in general) so surely you can see why that's hard for me, right? ;-)

Loved the video. Lils is so precious!

Love the earrings!! You are right they are totally me!

Oh Holy Night - I wanted a Christmas wedding just so I could have that song, but since I'm a teacher, a summer wedding was much easier. I sing it to my kids year round when I rock them, as well as Silent Night, and O, Come Let Us Adore Him.

Shauna said...

Oh Holy Night has always been my all time favorite. Its good to remember that in July sometimes :)
