Jack and Lily's Giveaway Wednesday

Dear friends,

If you're an avid blog reader like I am, you are familiar with the term Wordless Wednesdays. I've posted my own share of them, but I have to admit I really do love words...whether it's reading someone else's on a thought provoking post, or stringing mine together to try to convey my own thoughts. So going wordless on Wednesdays almost always makes me feel like something is missing~ like a really good cake without the frosting!

Therefore, I am boycotting Wordless Wednesdays and instituting my own little midweek tradition here for the summer months...

Jack and Lily's Giveaway Wednesdays!

I've been accumulating a sweet stash of goodies for Lily's readers, and each Wednesday I'll be hosting a giveaway here...just our way of saying thank you for reading, and that we hope you keep coming back.

Photobucket

I'm also verrrrry excited about two upcoming announcements...you do not want to miss either one of these! I have two blog posts on hold, and as soon as I get the go ahead, I'm going to hit publish faster than you can say "My Family Found Me!" Stay tuned!

Photobucket

So what do Jack and Lily have to do with this giveaway? Nothing. I just had to tie in these cute photos somehow~ so what better way to do that than to name the giveaway after them? ha.

Today's giveaway is for this darling hairclip made by my wonderful friend, Cassie...

Two lucky commenters will each win one of these super soft clippies, just by leaving a comment telling me what your summer plans are.... and if you don't have any fun plans, then leave a comment telling me what you wish you were doing. (camping, swimming, Maui...)

Happy Wednesday!

Patti, it's amazing how MUCH Lily is growing, not just physically, but equally, intellectually---how she looks at the camera, how she KNOWS--just look into her eyes & she "gets" it! hard to explain, but you can see the wisdom in her eyes!!
Don't think your girlfriend, here in Ny has gone crazy, but honestly, she is maturing in so many ways, so quickly!

We went to the family reunion at the beach. Going to Las Vegas for a weekend coming up-first trip without kids since Reagan was born. Then the conference in August! It's been a busy summer!!! What I wish I was doing...starting an adoption of one of my loves on Reece's Rainbow.

Precisely how I feel about Wordless Wednesday posts. I always think: Wait! What's the story behind that picture?!

Oh, and the question you asked. lol
It's been in the 100s here for the past 2 weeks. We begin our school year in June as a result.
Looking forward to digging into American history for the first time w/ my kiddos!

Oh, I'm so happy you included more pics of Lily with Jackson ~ they are soo adorable together and their bond is precious. I had to look at your last post of them two over and over to take it all in.

One summer event we are still planning is an outdoor movie night with a couple of my sisters/husbands and their families. Great memories!

No real set plans. Just hoping to take our daughter to the pool and zoo for the first time. And hopefully relax a little. Clippie is so cute! Baby's hair is in her face all the time so we could use it.

We are sticking close to home (looking forward to a trip to Yellowstone next summer!) and doing some swimming lessons, park days, going to the zoo, a couple beach trips. Nothing major, but still fun and relaxing. :)

Well...we just got back from 9 days in Costa Rica! That was quite awesome and such an enjoyable time away from reality! 4th of July weekend we're having a HUGE church picnic and then sometime in July we'll be going camping at Zion National Park with some friends from church--I think 3 couples total going. And in August, my hubby and I will get to go visit family in Texas--main occasion is my daddy is turning 50! So we get to go celebrate that AND visit the rest of our families as well! Super exciting stuff we've got going on....to us at least! ;-)

I can't wait for the two big announcements :)
Just spending family time this summer, and then hoping some friends of mine will be able to fly down soon to visit :) And well, we have some other HUGE summer plans, but I can't really write them here, so..... ;)

Our summer plans are taking the girls on the first trip to Maine for a family reunion of sorts and spending every other weekend minute in the pool because Cate (5yrs)is a fish! She is jumping off the diving board and swimming to the shallow end of the pool by herself with no floation - yeah aqua-therapy!

So exciting that two more have families!!! I certainly can't top Rochelle's exciting summer plans, but we're heading to my class reunion tomorrow up near the beach and hope to get some beach time in on Saturday. :-) Other than that, nothing in particular...yet.

Talked my husband into cancelling our cruise to Alaska so that hopefully one day soon we can start our journey in "Holland". Still working on that part but cancelling the cruise and saving that money was a huge start. So just staying home and doing day trips with the kiddos while I dream of "Holland".

That Jackson is going to be a heartbreaker....maybe he already is with the "little" ladies. Or am I predjudice? ;>)
