for cousin glenn

A little birdie told me that Lily has a big fan on the other side of the country who loves to watch her videos...especially when she's showing off with her flashcard skills.

Photobucket

So here are a few videos for your viewing pleasure, Glenn :)

I know it looks like several hours worth, but they all add up to less than two minutes. However, if you're anything like us, you could watch these over and over again.

We're so proud of our Lilybird!

This one is AMAZING...
And lastly...Lily LOVES this doll...
Happy Wednesday! Photobucket
P.S. I loved all the comments on yesterday's post....I'm going to start commenting back on my own comment section just so people know how much they mean to me! :)

I think Lily knows she's cute ~ look at that last picture!! What a little smarty pants! I have a soft spot for thumb-sucking babies holding baby dolls.

Patti--SERIOUSLY, that is so precious!!!!!

Cody was just asking me what I kept looking at & he watched, too!
He said that she has grown up so much since the last time he saw the site & it was not even that long ago!

Simply Precious!!

That is so awesome. Go Lily! Where did you get those flash cards? I would love some like that for Kaleb. :)

We work with these cards with Jack too. Amazing how much he understands and communicates. They would be even better if they had the sign language on the back. We have to go to our other resources to get the signs. Have you ever thought of doing some basic signs with Lily?

Love the baby doll video! My baby loves her baby dolls too; she's our first girl to actually enjoy dolls and I just love it!! So sweet!

My hubby heard the noise when I played these videos and he came and sat beside me and watched with me. He asked me "does she have Down syndrome?" When I told him yes he was in awe at what she's doing. We started scrolling back through your blog together and looking at pictures of Lily and every single post containing pictures of Lily he said "She's sooo beautiful" at least once.

I've been praying God would soften Matt's heart concerning adopting an angel from RR in the future and I really believe he's getting there. We saw a child out recently with Ds and Matt just sat watching him play--the entire time Matt had a huge smile on his face. I'd already caught what was going on but didn't say anything (instead I watched my husband in amazement-ha!) and after a few minutes he nudged my arm and said "look how cute he is". I love seeing this transformation in him.

So thanks for being apart of changing my hubby's heart simply by sharing your precious daughter with the world. You'll never know how much that means to me.

xoxo

Sara, your comment made me cry! God works in mysterious ways doesn't He? :) And Patti! OH! What a smartie pants you have on your hands! I would LOVE to bring Liddy to play! ;) I bet they'd have a LOT of fun! Lily is just about the most precious thing (other than my baby hehe) and I think I get just as excited as you guys do when she picks the right one. I also thought that it was adorable that you asked where the baby was and she looked right at the one in the mirror! Smart, smart girl! :)

We loved those cards too. What a smart girl! We paired them with sign too even at that early age because sky is the limit with kids with Down syndrome! She is so beautiful. My four year old with Down syndrome watched the videos with me and said "rock on little baby!" and gave her a thumbs up! It was really cute. :)

Lily is doing great with her cards! I need to get Claire's out again. I tried a while back but everything goes immediately to her mouth...and I'm not sure we'd get much done with them. :)

Thank you so much for your blog. I enjoy it so much! but sometimes it makes me lonesome for little ones in my home. Luckily, I am a PT and work in early intervention so I get to work with little ones...... but still doesn't quite fill my heart like one to snuggle with at home.
p.s. I give your blog address to new families that I work with .... in fact, just last week gave it to parents of a 4 week old with ds. I like to give it..... because it's not overwhelming with "how to's" and "facts" and "should do's". Rather, it gives hope and shows the JOY associated with that extra chromosome!! Would love to see a "tab" that is maybe a brief welcome to new parents with links to some "favorite" posts?? thanks again!

Not only is she a smart little girl (seriously - her picking up the right card when presented with so many options is very impressive), the way she cuddles her doll is so adorable!

Having so many family members to help her, love her and motivate her is a wonderful thing! You're going places, Lily!
