Please Read: New Update on Peter

Dear Friends,

Yesterday I was so very happy to announce the wonderful news that

PETER HAS A FAMILY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

http://reecesrainbow.org/category/rescued

I can't wait to share the details about who this wonderful family is- and given Peter's medical condition and needs, you are going to be amazed at who has stepped forward to claim him.

I received an email from Andrea this morning that said Peter is alive, but not doing well...and that this family is literally saving his life. And "not doing well" does not mean the same thing in Eastern Europe as it does here. In other words-

This family needs to be on a fast track to get him home.

From Reece's Rainbow's site...
Peter is a darling little boy with brown hair and brown eyes. He has so much to bring to a family, but he was born with multiple challenges in addition to his Down syndrome. From his medical records: severe delay of stato-motor development, congenital heart disease(ventricular septal defect with high degree of pulmonary hypertension), condition after closing of patent ductus arteriosus and coning of pulmonary artery, retinal angiopathy, farsightedness, nystagmus.
Peter needs a family right away, so his medical complications can be addressed by US physicians, and he can finally begin to live life as he should!

He cannot wait for a year while they fundraise- they need a full grant now.

I also exchanged emails with Peter's new mama, and as soon as they are placed on the Family Sponsorship page on Reece's Rainbow, we will announce who they are and give you a link to their blog.

She also expressed her sincere appreciation to every person who has given so liberally to save Peter..and also expressed the very real need they have for his grant to continue to grow.

I am imploring you to keep posting about this wherever you can- update your blogs, update your Facebook status, update posts on any forums you can- get the word out there that Peter has a family and they need our help.

If every person who reads this post gives just ten dollars, in the remaining three days of this giveaway, we will have a full grant for Peter.

SO here's the deal- if you donate another ten dollars(which you do by clicking on the donate button for Peter on my sidebar))- you can leave an additional comment/entry.

And if you have no idea what I'm talking about, go read about my PURE LOVE GIVEAWAY.

And can I just say that you folks ROCK???!!!

Seriously, I am amazed. Totally, completely, utterly, flipping AMAZED!!

GOD IS SO GOOD!

Teehee!
I donated another $25 when he was $23 away from $10,000. I wanted to put him over the edge! In the time it took me to do that he was at $10,099! I guess I didnt have such an original idea after all.
Guess I will have to come up with something better, eh?

Hi Patti,

It's amazing how God is using you in advocating for the dear children at RR!

Love reading your blog to find out what Lily is up to! She is a beautiful little girl. We have a little one with a magical extra chromosome. She is two years old, AND wonderful! We can relate to all of your posts!

Made donation to Peter.... I hope it went through,... will check my statement to be sure.

God Bless You and your family!

Lets all challenge ourselves again! If we easily gave ten dollars, lets do it again. OR if we easily already gave ten dollars again, lets even do it again and raise the money for a full grant fund for Peter so that his family can rescue him quickly!! It would be so wonderful to double this fund for him. God bless everyone. And most of all, thank you Patti!!

Just donated $40 to Peter - left another donation for him earlier in the week. How absolutely wonderful for this cute little guy. I can't wait to hear about his new family.

And may I just add .... I really miss pictures of Lily, could you sneak a few in on the blog just to satisfy her fans?

A.

Patti said...

oooohhh, Antoinette- how very sweet of you:) I will post some adorable new pics of the Lilybird just for you.

Thank you so much for coordinating this for these wonderful children and their families. You are very kind/generous/inspired :). (And you have inspired me to give $20)

Donated $20 - especially after watching the NBC news segment. Thank you for sharing that information - as well as advocating for these little ones who have no other hope of a happy life. I look forward to reading about the wonderful people that get to bring Peter home.

Scott said...

I just pushed Peter over... er, I mean, I just helped him past $13,000. ;-) Only I think the button has a defect because instead of rolling forward to 13,005, it rolled back to 12,965!! As Shauna would say... grrr!

Patti said...

wait- what happened??? I will have to ask the powers that be what made it do that?!

Race Bannon said...

Confused, so do we have to give $10 every time we click on your blog?

"If every person who reads this post gives just ten dollars, in the remaining three days of this giveaway, we will have a full grant for Peter."

Because Mrs. Bannon checks totals several times a day...

Scott said...

Race, pay attention to the words... “every person who READS this post”... everytime Mrs. Race reads this post she needs to give ten dollars, not everytime she clicks on the blog... :-)

Julie said...

Can't.Stop.Pushing.Donate!

Scott said...

Posted on FB again!! Was just looking at totals... $2,000 given yesterday in just 12 hours!! Now if we all just gave $2,000 today, $2,000 Thursday, and $3,000 on the home stretch Friday, Peter would have exceeded his goal!!! Let's go people!!! (Push, push, push...)

Amy said...

Donated again to Peter! Let's get him home ASAP!

Praise God for bringing a family for him!! I'm in tears reading this great news. I'm posting on FB as often as I can. This is incredible. You are doing amazing things for these sweet babies!

Catalina said...

Donated, been praying for him. Yay, so excited!
Will be praying for speedy process and smooth sailing.

I love to see everyone donating again and again!! Lets keep it up until his full grant fund comes in. And lets ask ourselves what we can sacrifice for Peter- how much? I have written this before, but if ten dollars is a true sacrifice, that is wonderful. If $50.00 is, lets give that, if $100.00 is, lets give that. What is something we can give up and put the money to Peter instead? I love seeing what is happening because of your faithfulness Patti. Lets all spread the word more and most of all, take this to prayer these last couple of days and bring in that full grant fund for this precious child. Oh- please do not qualify me for the giveaway. I do not want to win, but just give another shout out. I am so excited with what the Lord is doing.
