Thanks so much to everyone who voted for Lily on TopMommyBlogs...it takes 24 hours for the votes to show up (and your "click" on the above link is your vote...and you can vote once every 24 hours!) so vote every day if you want to help keep Lily at the top of the list on Special Needs Blogs.
RIGHT NOW LILY IS AT #1 IN THE SPECIAL NEEDS BLOGS!!!
The thing that is great about these types of websites, as I mentioned last post, is that they bring new readers here to Lily's blog. New readers means new awareness for Reece's Rainbow and Down syndrome- and if you haven't caught on, I am passionate about advocating for both:)
As a special thank you for Lily's readers- whether you voted or not- I want to do a little giveaway here for Lily's followers. ***Edited to Add- this giveaway is NOT for your vote on TMB- that's against their rules! This is for being/becoming a follower on Lily's blog. ***
I just got done reading the sweetest book about adoption (among other things) by Mary Beth Chapman. My cousin Kate sent it to me- she highly recommended it to me, and so did my friend Katy... within one hour of each other, each one sent me an email saying "Have you ever read this book?"- and they don't even know each other. My spiritual radar went off, and I thought - God must really be wanting me to read this book!
Once I started reading it, I just couldn't put it down. It is such a beautiful story, and I just love how Mary Beth glorifies God while telling of both unbelievable heartache and incredible joy....
SO, I am giving away a copy of this book to one lucky commenter. All you have to do is become a follower here (by signing up as a follower on the sidebar)- or if you are one already, just say so in the comment section.
I will draw a winner this weekend. I just can't stress enough what an awesome book this is!
I also wanted to ask a little favor...Olga's mommy is doing a giveaway pretty soon to help raise the $7,000 it will cost to submit their dossier. The grant money that we helped raise for Olga does not go to that cost, but to travel costs and in-country expenses once they get there, as well as other adoption costs. It is crucial that they submit that dossier as soon as possible. If you have any items you would be able to donate to the Abell's upcoming giveaway/fundraiser...can you email them?
Anything would help...gift cards..etsy items..iPads...:)
And just because I promised, here are some photos of Lily for those who need their daily Lilybird fix!
Here she is demonstrating that Down syndrome makes for a very flexible little baby...

Thank you again for your comments, your love, and your hearts to give!!
