A Mind of Your Own

Dearest Lily,

Last week when Karen, your therapist was here, she asked if you played with crayons at all, or tried to draw on things. I laughed and said no, and that I couldn't really picture you doing that yet.

I think you heard me, and determined to prove me wrong..

Lately you have been very insistent about feeding yourself. Sometimes if I hold a spoon or fork up to you, you will shake your head no and grab at the food yourself.

On Monday when Laura was visiting you, you had a little trouble keeping your hands to yourself...

I wanted to do a photo shoot with you wearing the new monkey hat Grammi got for you...but you wanted to take a nap instead...

Lily you are an artist, you do well with crayons on paper and spaghetti on you face n tray. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SPAGHETTI GRIN RIGHT INTO THE CAMERA.

You look so cute in your monkey hat. Good for you expressing your preference...you prefer to sleep than to pose. Me too!!!

OH I love those pictures. The sleeping baby is adorable, but my favorite is the smiling spaghetti face. Precious!

Any photo shoot that captures Lily sucking her thumb is a success in my eyes!

Look at her! She's so proud of herself! Babies never stop surprising us. And did she really just roller and fall asleep in the middle of a photo shoot? I WISH Timmy would sleep that easy LOL! She's too sweet!

Patti, I just posted this on your facebook, but you NEED to make a calendar of these pics of Lily. Seriously. Sell them and give to RR, do a give away. I want one! The spaghetti face smile is the most precious picture! All of them, just all of Lily's Liliness.

OK, more Lily and Kellan similarities. Kellan loves to suck his thumb, only the left though. He loves spagetti, especially when he can feed it to himself! Love the monkey hat and cute shoes!!

Oh Lily will you pleas come teach Sutter how to use crayons or sidewalk chalk...he seems to think they are only for eating...he could really use a good teacher like you!

I love spaghetti faces, nothing better than a messy face and a baby with a full belly!

Kamdyn is not showing much interest in self feeding yet. It's hard to be patient sometimes, insn't it? I just have to keep telling myself that it will all come in time.

These photos are so great. I especially love the "spaghetti face" one. That could be the next "Spaghetti O" add or something. Adorable. :)
