I wrote about your birth story the other day- how your siblings reacted to you having Down syndrome. It was one of the hardest letters to you I've written, because those moments were among the most painful for me since your diagnosis.
Thankfully, those moments were just those...moments. And although I know there might be similar moments in the future because of your diagnosis, I am quite sure we will get through those as well. Why?
Because of this....
Love has the incredible potential to wipe away tears and grief and fear. It fills in the spaces where loneliness grew, covers sins and mistakes, repairs broken hearts and wounded relationships, it blooms where once only despair was planted.
Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails! 1 Corinthians 13: 7-8
And we have so much of it here, Dearest Lily. So much.
Full of love for you,
